America has spent sums of money on its military that would make God blush. Trillions of dollars, poured lovingly into aircraft carriers, stealth bombers and enough nuclear warheads to vaporise the solar system out of sheer spite.
All of it designed to stop the Soviets, frighten the Chinese, and presumably deal with any aliens foolish enough to invade a country with more guns than teeth.
And it worked, sort of, right up until Putin deployed the one weapon nobody at the Pentagon had thought to plan for: a man lounging on floral bedding in a dressing gown, looking like a prawn that’s given up on life.
Decades of intelligence briefings, and not one analyst raised his hand to say “what if the threat is already indoors, and comfortable?”
Because that’s the genius of it. Moscow never needed to launch anything. They just needed America to look at this and think, “yes, him, that’s our guy.” Trillions spent defending the nation, and it turns out the whole thing could be conquered with a bathrobe and a quilted bedspread. Somewhere in the Kremlin, a man is laughing so hard he’s had to sit down.
Ukraine is fighting for its survival, Mr. Vice President.
If I remember correctly, you once bragged about cutting off military assistance to them. Now we learn you personally called President Zelensky and asked Ukraine to hold back a specific set of strikes.
Every one of these moves helps Russia, and you know it.
I stand with Ukraine. Can you honestly say you do?

I’ve launched off the front of aircraft carriers hundreds of times, have a Master’s degree in aeronautical engineering, and am a test pilot and even I wouldn’t suggest to the Navy how to engineer specific systems on its ships. Donald Trump should stick to what he knows best — ballrooms, bankruptcy, and bullshit.
Trump is intentionally allowing Ukrainians to die in nightly missile attacks hoping to force Ukraine to give up their land so he can secure business deals with Russia.
There, I said it out loud.
Well, this was a pleasant surprise.
The Wall Street Journal Editorial Board published a major piece criticizing the U.S. failure to provide Ukraine with the missiles it desperately needs to defend its cities from russia’s ballistic missile attacks.
Someone shared my recent post, “I am utterly ashamed,” in the comments under the article.
It became the most liked and the most shared comments under the piece.
Thank you to everyone who is engaging with my posts, sharing, and helping to amplify this message.
I hope people in Washington are listening.
Because I meant every word I wrote:
“I am utterly ashamed.”
I am utterly ashamed that the US has stopped any help to Ukraine. We promised Ukrainians that if they give up their nuclear weapons we will guarantee their sovereignty. We made it official and called it the 1994 Budapest Memorandum. But when Ukrainian sovereignty came under attack in 2014, we did nothing. Just as we are doing nothing today to stop the russian aggression.
I am utterly ashamed of the US president – a man who not only refused to help Ukraine survive, but openly sided with war criminal Putin. Since Trump took office, russia has exponentially increased its missile and drone strikes on Ukrainian cities and civilians. Trump gave them silent permission.
I am utterly ashamed of those who voted for Trump, and especially those who still, after all the lies and betrayals, continue to cheer him on. I find such behavior despicable and morally bankrupt.
Finally, I am utterly ashamed of everyone who remains silently complicit in this genocide. People who claim that they are "neutral." The time of judgment will come – whether in this life or eternity. As Dietrich Bonhoeffer said: "Silence in the face of evil is itself evil; God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act."
Absolutely barbaric.
Every news channel in the world should be showing this today.
Kherson.
A russian drone stalks an unarmed civilian street vendor.
No weapon.
No threat.
This is russia's human safari — hunting civilians.
This is what russia does to Ukrainians every day.
A representative of the terrorist Iranian state that has been helping Russia murder Ukrainian civilians for years--and whose IRGC shot down a Ukrainian airliner killing 176--is suddenly deeply concerned about human life and international law.
@araghchi Remember Ukrainian plane you fucks shot down in 2016 with 170 people on board?
Remember Shahed drones that you sent to Russia that kill Ukrainians every day for years?
Yeah, eat shit.
@nachomdeo Nacho, no crees que Arabia pueda ayudar a sus proxis en Yemen para intentar expulsar a los Huties? En Iran es muy dificil poner tropas en tierra pero en Yemen ya hay grupos armados enemigos de los Huties.
