@HoraceSmith1945@BenDooley8 You’d be surprised how quickly the toppings break down. As a good regenerative farmer Ben is just returning organic matter to the soil.
@JerryMoloney1@DarraghScott@2pintpaddy 449 in 2022 apparently. This article doesn’t even seem to mention other reasons for going once a day such as dry conditions or better reproduction.
@ElbonPark@BenDooley8 I don’t think it’s going to hurt. I’ve got mine on some pretty good feed because they were behind in liveweight. Could get the odd bearing or stuck lamb, but you get that anyway with hoggets. And if it’s only a handful it’s not the end of the world.
@BenDooley8 Na, just that doubles and triples aren’t effective, probably started using them because singles weren’t. Pretty sure moxi is one of the easiest to get resistance to.
@grant_farquhar This confused me in the past, and my googling found that marsden point was set up before they discovered oil in NZ, it was set up for low quality imported sour oil, and NZ exports its high quality sweet oil. It would cost too much to convert the refineries.
