The discussion backs up what I said from the very start. The fires have nothing to do with the water being diverted for smelt, like Republicans keep saying.

In the words of the firefighter himself: "We were flowing an amount of water that the system couldn’t hold — just because how much water these firefighters were utilizing."

It's pretty simple really. The more water that is being used at once, the lower the water pressure in the pipes are. Once you need a certain amount of water, it doesn't matter how much water is in the system.

This isn't about a water shortage. It's about the pipes being overwhelmed.

People need to stop spreading misinformation.
