Dear @MastercardFdn, @Makerere & @MakerereAR, may I kindly inquire whether the undergraduate scholarship portal for AY 2026/2027 at Makerere University is intentionally still closed or if this could be a technical issue, given that admissions are already open?
I was scrolling and saw men roasting a fellow man for "over appreciating" his wife after she gave birth. "Even dogs and cats can give birth." They said.
Listen, if you think a woman in a labor ward is the same as a dog in a kennel, you are a boy living in a man's body.
Imagine you have finally set your life right. Everything is working out. You are excited to start a family. Then the doctor walks out and says, "the baby is fine, but she couldn't make it."
Your whole world crashes in one second.
Childbirth is a risk where many women don't get a second chance. If a man chooses to celebrate the fact that his wife survived that battle, let him. Don't compare your pregnant madam to a dog. Some of you need to grow up and realize that celebrating life is not a weakness, it's a sign of a man who actually values what he has.
To the men that have lost their wives to this, "I'm sorry." To the boys yapping, I hope you never have to learn this lesson the hard way.
People, school, and society have all told you how life should be.
But at some point, you must decide for yourself.
Nobody is coming to fix your situation.
You can design your own life.
So if things are not working, change something.
Changing anything this 2026?
Happy Easter
