@Sept11VCF hi, my father might have a valid claim but we saw that a deadline has recently passed (7/29/21). Can my father still submit a claim? (He was a resident/worked in the area and was there on the day and for months afterwards).
@Eternity24601@pixi_adkpixie@rawringtwentees@copperlight@coopenthusiast@helmsinki @madelineelisaa @DeanaJAyers This is clear to me. Insulting someone/group for a disability is obviously ableist. But how can calling a group foolish be construed in the same way? Using ableism in this context would be functionally calling all those unprepared for snow in the south disabled in someway.
@Eternity24601@pixi_adkpixie@rawringtwentees@copperlight@coopenthusiast@helmsinki @madelineelisaa @DeanaJAyers I guess what I’m trying to clarify is if criticizing a large group for a collective ignorance/naivety is ableism. So many other operative -isms for generalizing a group or a culture. I always assumed ableism was specific to disparaging or ignoring those with a disability
@pixi_adkpixie@rawringtwentees@copperlight@coopenthusiast@helmsinki @madelineelisaa @DeanaJAyers Would this be an example of ableism though? Hypothetically we are speaking about the general intelligence of a large population. Ableism would be the assumption that every individual is capable/able at the mean. This is more of a generalized label. Serious Q
@Sue99339007 @stsa7535 @cwarzel This is so important and consistently overlooked. Their actions are justified within their delusions. How could they NOT use violence against the satanists.
