Radio Network Producer for the Portland Trail Blazers since 1992. “Portland Wrestling” Historian, On-Air every Saturday afternoon from 2-5 on KISN 95.1 FM
Fifteen year old me never got rid of this shirt. I liked it because it had the date on the front & the team members on the back.
If someone had told me that 20 years later, all of the team members would be signing the shirt, I would’ve said they were crazy. @trailblazers
My thanks to Tony Martinez & the folks at @KPTV for including me in this fun story remembering the great sports summer of 1992 here in Portland. #NBAFinals#DreamTeam

Like a hidden track on a full album, “Called For Traveling” features a dedicated chapter in the book on “Playboy” Buddy Rose, @richpatterson1 and his extensive Portland Wrestling video archive collection.

I feel extremely blessed that I have a job that I love & get to work with amazing professionals
I can’t wait to get back to work in October for my 36th season as the producer of the @trailblazers audio network. The first preseason game will mark my 3,109 consecutive broadcast.
@ChadinRipCity@highkin@RipCityRadio620 Everybody forgets that the Blazers had another Hall of Fame announcer on radio. The great Eddie Doucette took over for two seasons when Schonz went to TV. Eddie is the guy that dubbed me. “The Captain.” After two seasons, Eddie & Bill switched jobs.
@RasslinGrenade I did the same thing with hundred’s of VHS tapes with Portland Wrestling that were originally recorded by Playboy Buddy Rose. I got about 500 hours of Portland footage from 1977-1991.
Congratulations to @trailblazers radio play by play guy @travisdemers.
Trav has been named 2025 Oregon Sportscaster Of The Year by the National Sports Media Association!!!
Anyone that knows Travis, knows that he is one of the hardest working guys in all of sports broadcasting.
I just saw that today is the 80th birthday of one of the true “cool guys”, on screen & off….Mr. @hwinkler4real It was great meeting him back in December 2023
This is one of my greatest pieces of @trailblazers memorabilia. It’s extra special as it was given to me by Bill Schonely.
This is the tape Schonz used to record his pre game "Jack Ramsay Show" on June 5, 1977.
Here I am wearing my Blazers championship T-shirt in 1977.
I never got rid of it
In 1997, I was working for @trailblazers, by then, there was a 20 year reunion of the championship team, I was able to get all the players sign it.
It truly is one of my prized possessions.
