I hear Johnson's defence announcement will herald a shift to a renewed focus on Britain's maritime/Naval strengths. After years of the Army holding in the whip hand since 2001, sounds like the senior service has had a good defence review

This week’s discussion about Royal Navy ships convinces me of three things:
1. We need a minimum of 30 escorts to ensure availability across all key tasks.
2. We need a Frigate Factory that punches out a new ship every 12 months.
3. We need 5,000 additional sailors.
