So you don't want Youri Tielemans for £35 million because he's 29, but you'd happily pay £100 million for Bruno Guimarães, who's only a year younger.

Bruno Guimarães will turn 29 in a few months, yet Newcastle reportedly want around £100 million for him, while Manchester United have just signed 29-year-old Tielemans for only £35 million.

For me, that's outstanding business from INEOS, especially in a transfer market where prices have become completely inflated.

It's funny how we can become so caught up in a player's reputation that we completely ignore the value of the deal in front of us.

The reality is that there's less than six months between Tielemans and Bruno in age, yet one is labelled "too old" while the other is still seen as worth a nine-figure transfer fee.

Bruno Guimarães is a fantastic midfielder, but I struggle to believe he's worth almost three times the price of a Premier League-proven player like Tielemans.

By getting Tielemans for £35 million, INEOS have strengthened the midfield while keeping another £65 million available to improve other areas of the squad, and that for me is the kind of smart business United have looking for. ❤️💪
