Happy New Year CT.
Using stablecoins for payments sounds great, until you notice the tradeoff. Every time you pay a merchant, you don’t just reveal the amount you sent, you also expose your wallet balance permanently. Anyone can see it. That’s wild.
As Nick put it, this is a core flaw, not a small UX issue. It’s a fundamental problem that needs solving if crypto is ever going to work for real users, businesses, or institutions.
This is where @0xfairblock Stabletrust app comes in.
Stabletrust enables confidential stablecoin payments. You deposit standard stablecoins like cUSDT, but once inside, transaction amounts and wallet balances are encrypted on-chain. Block explorers can’t see what you sent or what you still have.
At the same time, transactions remain provable. Through selective disclosure, audits and compliance checks are still possible without making everything public.
The result is privacy by default, similar to a bank transfer but fully on-chain, fast, and compliant.
It protects sensitive data like salaries, business income, and personal spending, keeping it hidden from competitors, frontrunners, and surveillance systems, while still allowing access when legitimately required.
This is exactly why transparent stablecoins like USDT or USDC struggle to replace cash or bank payments in real-world use: they reveal too much.
Confidential stablecoin payments are coming.
Paying for things with crypto makes a lot of sense in so many ways.
Then you realize everybody can see and track everything you’ve ever bought and every dollar you’ve ever been paid.
It’s an insurmountable bug.
The Robinhood Chain
> Ethereum secures it
> Arbitrum powers it
> Robinhood brings millions onchain
> Fairblock encrpyts it
The next chapter of finance is not leaked
@0xfairblock@openstandard The future of enterprise money isn’t just faster settlement, it’s programmable, privacy-preserving, and compliant by design. This feels like a step in that direction.
Enterprise money has to do more than move.
It needs neutrality, yield, lower fees, and compliant privacy.
We're excited to work with @openstandard to bring confidential, compliant transactions to OUSD, helping businesses move money globally without compromising privacy.
Dear @blknoiz06,
You are one of the kindest and most generous people I know, and I truly admire your willingness to help others.
I’m reaching out with a humble request. If it’s within your means, I’d be incredibly grateful if you could gift me $2,000 worth of your token
Thanks.
