@MBernardoNews It would be nice if the BC Conservatives would understand the difference between curriculum and resources before spouting off. The provincial curriculum is here. https://t.co/Uwqt2O03pS It’s all broken down by age/grade and entirely appropriate.
FACT CHECK: No, Pierre Poilievre.
This man isn’t facing a $750,000 fine for simply saying ‘there are two genders.’
Once you read the actual B.C. Human Rights Tribunal decision, you might find Poilievre’s defence of this “truth” and “free speech” chilling and, well, indefensible:
@RobynUrback In his role as AN EMPLOYER to HIS EMPLOYEES who are not allowed to talk back to him without being disciplined. Everyone writing about this case needs to go back to 2017/18 era and read the Chilliwack Progress coverage of this man. He is not a hero or victim.
@BenjaminiteMD@carriemae68@PierrePoilievre Go do some reading from the news back in the day. A lot more than what was in the HR complaint process, which focused on his impact as a school trustee, a member of an employer board. He was awful to a lot of people. Should not be held up as a hero.
@BenjaminiteMD@PierrePoilievre You should go back and read articles form 2017/2018 era in the Chilliwack Progress. This man was relentless in attacking people. He was deemed by his own board not to be safe enough for schools.
@BillboardChris Such nonsense. Fake outrage. MAID was used by one of my parents and it was calm, caring, and compassionate after a hideously painful struggle with cancer. We should all be so lucky for such a peaceful passing.
@Prominent_Bryan Here’s the thing. He was a school trustee, and therefore part of the employing body of a school district. It’s not just what he said, it’s that he said it from a position of power with people he had authority over (including employees and kids) .
“People are trying to politicize what this is about. It's not about guns. It's not about transgenderism. It's about mental health. It's about a lack of resources.”

@TristinHopper Alternatively you can go to their Facebook page and read all three statements that have been put out. Or… you can keep trying to make things worse for everyone - the victims, their families, the survivors, the first responders, the school staff.
@AdamZivo You’re making this worse for everyone. The victims. The people that worked there. The loved ones. The first responders. You are making it worse.
