Richmond Vanadium Technology is advancing the Richmond-Julia Creek Vanadium Project in QLD and listed on the ASX in December 2022. BFS expected in mid-2025
We've wrapped up two busy days at the Noosa Power and Energy Conference (NOOSAPEC) in Noosa. Our Advisory Board Member, Joanne Bergamin, was proud to represent Richmond Vanadium Technology and contribute to the important conversations on Australia’s energy transition, global competitiveness and the critical role of advanced materials and battery supply chains.
Key takeaways from the program included:
• Tim Buckley’s keynote on The Global Energy System Transformation and the need for smart partnerships (including with international players) to build a strong local battery industry.
• Professor Roy Green’s address on attracting foreign capital and technical expertise to drive innovation in regional Australia.
• Updates on industrial precincts like Lansdown in North Queensland from Scott Muller.
• Lynnard Cucksey’s session highlighting batteries as the next major energy supply chain opportunity.
Joanne thoroughly enjoyed engaging with industry leaders, experts and innovators on how we can accelerate a “Future Made in Australia,” one that leverages our resources, builds resilient supply chains and delivers real economic and community benefits.
Events like NOOSAPEC are vital for aligning strategy, policy and action in the energy and resources sector. Thank you to Jasmin Holmes for organising such a high-calibre program.

. $RVT is in Kalgoorlie this week. Chairman Brendon Grylls AM, Strategic Advisor Jon Price and Company Secretary & Business Operations Manager Monique Stevens have arrived in Kalgoorlie-Boulder for a series of stakeholder and community meetings.
As RVT progresses its Mine-to-Battery strategy and recently announced collaboration with RKP Global, we are looking forward to discussing opportunities for vanadium flow batteries and long-duration energy storage in the Goldfields.
A key focus of the visit is understanding local workforce, supply chain and industry participation opportunities that could support future project development in the region.
Over the next two days we will be meeting with local businesses, industry groups, community stakeholders and potential project participants to better understand how a future battery project could deliver benefits for Kalgoorlie-Boulder and the broader Goldfields.
If you would like to learn more about RVT’s plans or discuss potential involvement in the local supply chain, workforce, services or broader project opportunities, we would welcome the conversation.

What began as discussions around the future of vanadium batteries has developed into a strategic collaboration with @RongkePower focused on building an Australian vanadium battery and long-duration energy storage industry.
From early engagement, to discussions at the AusIMM Critical Minerals Conference, technical collaboration, and most recently $RVT’s delegation visit to Dalian, China, the relationship has continued to strengthen. The execution of a binding Mine-to-Battery Collaboration & Project Development Agreement marks an important milestone in that journey.
The Agreement establishes a strategic framework for RVT and RKP to evaluate and develop Australian vanadium flow battery and long-duration energy storage opportunities. RVT Energy (RVTe) will act as the initial Australian project development platform, with an initial focus on project evaluation, technical cooperation, electrolyte validation and market development.
The framework also supports future localisation initiatives associated with the Richmond–Julia Creek Vanadium Project and RVT’s broader strategy to participate across the value chain from vanadium resource development through to downstream energy storage deployment.

We're pleased to announce the execution of a binding Mine-to-Battery Collaboration & Project Development Agreement with @RongkePower (RKP), one of the world's leading vanadium flow battery providers.
The agreement establishes a framework to evaluate and develop vanadium flow battery and long-duration energy storage opportunities in Australia and supports RVT's strategy to participate across the value chain from vanadium resource development through to downstream energy storage deployment.
The collaboration supports $RVT's broader objective of advancing an Australian mine-to-battery value chain linked to the Richmond–Julia Creek Vanadium Project and evaluating future opportunities for downstream vanadium battery deployment, electrolyte supply and long-duration energy storage projects.
Executive Chair, Brendon Grylls said, “This agreement represents an important step forward in RVT’s long-term strategy to support development of an Australian vanadium battery and long duration energy storage industry. Australia has a significant opportunity to participate in the emerging long duration energy storage sector through the development of long-term capability across critical minerals, vanadium electrolyte processing and vanadium battery deployment.
RKP is a globally recognised participant in the vanadium flow battery sector, and this collaboration provides a strong platform to evaluate future vanadium battery and downstream energy storage opportunities in Australia.”
RKP Director, Min Tang commented, “Australia has strong long-term potential in vanadium resources and renewable energy deployment. We believe this
collaboration provides an important platform to explore vanadium battery opportunities and future cooperation in the Australian market.”

. $RVT Executive Chair Brendon Grylls took to the stage yesterday at the Townsville Enterprise Mining & Manufacturing Forum speaking about Australia’s emerging vanadium opportunity and how AI, data centres and electrification are driving the need for long-duration Battery Energy Storage Systems
There was a lot of discussion across the day around the importance of getting industry, government and research working together to help move critical minerals projects forward and build stronger regional industries in North Queensland.
The conversations reflected how quickly the focus is shifting from simply mining critical minerals to building the broader energy and industrial systems around them.
Thank you to Minister Dale Last for opening the forum, and to Townsville Enterprise for bringing together such a strong cross-section of industry and government leaders.
