A few quick thoughts on the A's and the utter wickedness at play.
Pro sports rely on the emotional connection between team and fan. It's a pact. The fan buys in, caring deeply about 26 souls wearing the same laundry. The fan makes it all matter, makes it mean something.
@henrymoeranBBC@bbctms Start at 10.30. Less fussy with the light meters. Increased punishment for slow over rates. More sensible use of early lunch/tea to avoid pointless breaks in days that are going to be shortened anyway.

@delia_burgess@LockePacem@TomABacon@ThatLibertyGal He’s not been jailed, he’s been remanded in custody pending trial. If he was not an active participant he can argue that at trial. Belfast Telegraph coverage suggests there is PSNI footage to the contrary.
@delia_burgess@LockePacem@TomABacon@ThatLibertyGal That wasn’t the only tweet: also posted instructions on how to avoid number plate recognition and avoid arrest. Not a one off howling to the wind: actual planning and incitement.

@delia_burgess@LockePacem@TomABacon@ThatLibertyGal The “tweet” was an incitement to violence that resulted in libraries, citizens advice bureaus, mosques and hotels being attacked. Freedom of speech has limits, and this is the limit.
@LockePacem@TomABacon@ThatLibertyGal Injustice hasn’t become law, though. He’s swallowing lies from grifters and amplifying them on here. That’s irresponsibility, not “resistance”.
