@toddpatrick @PoRican And I do think the audience deserves some share of blame here. Streaming services and social media play an outsized role in music discovery these days and people embrace it because it’s easy but long term it’s going to be a disaster.

@toddpatrick @PoRican It’s easy to say any of these places made choices but in reality I think a lot of their hands were forced (except vice - that story is bananas). The tech platforms have reduced revenue to micropayments which causes every aspect of the industry to chase scale.
