@BrianWillott No, it would be unnecessary if the government would do their trust busting duty and not over regulate. If someone was gouging another would step in cheaper
@BrianWillott@gwiesefarms I worked for Monsanto Hawaii for an internship one summer was about enough. Subsidized sugar cane and seed companies are about all they have. They’ve voted everything else off the islands and they’re trying to vote the seed companies off
@Garrett_Ruskamp Share equipment yes. A sprayer? Wouldn’t work for us. Too small of a window and too much competition from retailers. Something off season like dirt moving equipment? Absolutely
@JerodMcDaniel Everything has been sacrificed for consumerism for decades regardless of the real cost. Outsource anything you can to save the consumer a dollar
@CBKimbrell I’m certainly biased here but. Assuming im financially stable and he does as good a job as the others im going with C. Also I would likely do 1/2 rent up front, if they can’t do that maybe a crop share for the first year or two at least
@BrianWillott Threat. They take a large amount of land. Basically zero job creation other than construction and limited tax revenue increase. Lot of risk to electric water pollution etc. I also think many will be obsolete quickly
@felixprehn While seed company monopolies are a problem and we need more competition. Farmers can still buy public varieties and keep seed including off patent GMO seed. Most of us choose not because of the yield advantages of newer varieties/traits
@BradyD78 Crossbow when they’re leafed out at that size can finish them off but not a guarantee hot liberty can work also. I haven’t found any silver bullet except persistence
@gwiesefarms@MaxROIFarmer It created a good foundation but was not enough by itself. Not sure if it was worth the cost. Ohio State Ag Econ/business and Agronomy
The network is very valuable also
The answer to high gas prices grown here in Ohio. Unleaded 88 can help consumers save 30 to 50 cents per gallon. Another reason, we all need Congress to make E15 nationwide a permanent reality! E15 Now!
US government: you have to use emissions equipment, cow farts are bad, let’s spend billions subsidizing green energy we have to lower GHG emissions!
Also the US government:
@_TheMizzouTiger@NationalCorn Since you have such strong feelings about these and checkoffs you should run for a board seat. I don’t think anyone would disagree with higher blend ethanol, more domestic N or no more def.
