@teachwhocares1 I once caught a black widow spider and had it in a jar with air holes. At first my daughter was so freaked out she wouldn’t come within 10 feet. 15 minutes later I had her feeding it bugs.

At school working on my science lab. I left the Dubai Roach breeder colony here this summer. They were out of water and nearly out of food. They are feeders for the reptiles. The colony is growing.

@LynnTeaches1st That make them narrower to add more aisles in and fit more merchandise per square foot. But it’s uncomfortable for the customer.

@teachwhocares1 Yes. Dubia roaches are more nutritional and less fattening for reptiles than crickets, mealworms or super worms or even tomato hornworms. Also the easiest to get a breeder colony going to cut costs

@jenteach13 Not going crazy with it. But I’ve spent time in there one day a week. I also have two labs to set up. My science lab is almost done. My broadcast/innovation lab hasn’t even been cleaned yet. Much less set up.

@FromTeachrsDesk I don’t see it has things not being implemented. Sometimes they are not researched enough before implementation. Sometimes they expect the fix to work overnight or faster. I just don’t see it the same way.

@FromTeachrsDesk For every concern there are a dozen possible fixes. No one can agree on which one should be tried. Then when one is tried many are critical before that change even has a chance. Folks complain of jumping from one FAD to another.

@educator4ever36 @k12careers In our district every employee picks their pay cycle. I chose 24 payments over 12 month window. That way I get a check every two weeks even over summer break.

Grow station 2 never got set up last year. It was the junk collector. Working on the junk pile now. Any thing that isn’t trash. Doesn’t have a place in the lab will go to the science closet.

@educator4ever36 I can’t prove it’s more than that. But we get messy. Creating erosion, looking under microscopes. Mixing things. Elephant toothpaste. Digging in rotting logs. So much more.

@educator4ever36 This is the science lab. Yes they love it. They get one lesson a month in the lab. They always want more.
