🚨 KC AREA VOTERS — IMPORTANT 5TH DISTRICT UPDATE 🚨
Did you vote in the August Primary? Your congressional district may be different on your November ballot.
Because of the recent court decisions concerning Missouri’s congressional maps, the 2022 congressional map is being used for the November 3 General Election. That means some KC-area voters who voted in a different congressional district in August will now be voting in Missouri’s 5th Congressional District.
The 5th District includes all or portions of:
📍 Kansas City
📍 Independence
📍 Lee’s Summit
📍 Blue Springs
📍 Raytown
📍 Gladstone
📍 Grandview
📍 North Kansas City
📍 Greenwood
📍 Sugar Creek
📍 Pleasant Valley
📍 Claycomo
📍 Lake Lotawana
📍 Lake Tapawingo
📍 Unity Village
If you live in one of these communities, check your November ballot to confirm your congressional district and the candidates you will be voting on.
One other important item on your November ballot is Proposition A, which asks voters whether to approve House Bill 1 (the “Missouri First” congressional map). Under the official ballot language, a YES vote approves HB 1 and its new congressional boundaries; a NO vote leaves the 2022 congressional boundaries in place. If you are ready to send Democrat, Emmanuel Cleaver home, please vote YES on Prop A!
🗳️ Know your district. Know your ballot. Make your voice heard. I’d appreciate your vote on November 3rd!
Please share this with your KC-area friends and family so they know to check their November congressional district.
I think this executive order from @GovMikeKehoe is a good idea. Heavier loads during harvest season and allowing the use of dyed diesel for on-road use can help farmers cope with higher costs. https://t.co/o86lUeWUCH

The MO Supreme Court justices are up for retention every 12 years. Judge Paul C. Wilson (appointed by Jay Nixon) wrote the 4-3 majority opinion in Sept 2024 that allowed A3 to be on the ballot. Thus we have the scourge of wide open abortion in our state.
Last night, I attended the Jackson County Central Committee meeting to give an update on the redistricting battle and other important issues that will be on the November 3rd ballot! Thank you for having me!
It was great to sit down with John Holt last week for an in-depth conversation about some of the important national issues facing our country. I appreciate the opportunity to share my perspective, discuss the issues that matter most to Missourians and Americans, and have a thoughtful conversation about the direction of our nation. https://t.co/UavOK1Sojn
Let us be perfectly clear: whether one finds the Missouri supreme courts map decision to be the greatest thing since Marbury v. Madison, or flagrant judicial activism, SOS @DLHoskins did nothing wrong and he followed the law. He had until close of business on August 4 to confirm or deny the sufficiency of the referendum petition. He followed that deadline. Polls for the 8/4 primary closed two hours later, indicating that reverting to the defunct 2022 map was inconsistent with a proper understanding of Missouri law.
The other hand, the Missouri Supreme Court vindictively scheduled a contempt hearing at a time when it had been overruled by a higher court, and Hoskins was following the order of that higher court. Denny was threatened with arrest and jail time.
I’m proud of Secretary Hoskins for his courage in following the rule of law under tremendous pressure to do otherwise. @RickBrattin@AGCHanaway
Trump is obviously correct here. Both SCOMO and SCOTUS have done our country and the state of Missouri a great disservice by throwing out our primary election and disenfranchising 1.2 million Missouri voters. We have been done wrong, but we will #NeverQuit
I’m incredibly disappointed in the Supreme Court’s decision to block the Missouri First Map.
It’s the map that actually reflected our ruby-red state.
The lines don’t change the mission. I’ll keep fighting for every family in Missouri’s 4th.
37 days. Let’s get to work. 🇺🇸
🚨 JUST IN: President Trump RIPS APART the US Supreme Court for striking down Missouri's R+1 2026 redistricting map
Now, the midterms map for Missouri is 6R-2D, rather than 7R-1D
"The Supreme Court of the United States will just not let Missouri have an Election Victory. They continuously, three times now, overrule Judges who came to the correct decisions."
"Thank you to the Governor, and all of the Great People of Missouri, who are fighting so hard for Fairness and Election Security. Such tremendous Spirit and Love of our Country. I won Missouri BIG, all three times, and I couldn’t be more proud of doing so. A great place — I love you all! President DONALD J. TRUMP"
This is precisely why EVERY red state like Indiana should've redrawn, because legal losses like this can happen!
Hold NOTHING back before 2028. Democrats' cheating must be canceled out. More states should redraw next year and keep picking up red seats!
Of course progressives trolling this account insist that Secretary @DLHoskins had some kind of duty to fast-track his review of the referendum. He did not. And can anyone tell me that a Democrat SOS reviewing a GOP referendum would have fast-tracked the petition?
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE SEPTEMBER 25, 2026
Statement from Rick Brattin on U.S. Supreme Court Ruling
(JEFFERSON CITY, MO) – State Senator Rick Brattin has released the following statement about today’s ruling: “I am grateful to the Eighth Circuit for squarely addressing the merits of this case and stating plainly what common sense and the Constitution require: voters should not choose their nominees under one congressional map and then be forced into entirely different districts for the general election. Today’s Supreme Court decision is a travesty for Missouri voters and for the integrity of our elections. Missouri will now conduct a congressional primary under one map and a general election under another. Voters who lawfully participated in the August primary will be moved into districts where they had no voice in choosing the nominees who will appear on their ballot in November. This is the most unprecedented form of voter disenfranchisement in American history, and Missouri voters deserve far better. The responsibility for this chaos rests first and foremost with the Missouri Supreme Court. With the stroke of a pen, it overturned a congressional map passed by the people’s elected legislature and signed by the Governor after that map had already been used to conduct the primary election. The Eighth Circuit recognized the serious constitutional problem that decision created. Missouri voters are now being forced to live with the consequences. This is part of a dangerous pattern of courts asserting power that belongs to the people and their elected representatives. Judges are not kings, and courts are not legislatures. Our system of government depends upon each branch respecting the constitutional authority of the others. The Missouri Supreme Court abandoned that principle in this case, usurped the authority of Missouri’s duly elected legislative and executive branches, and left Missouri voters paying the price.”
🚨 BREAKING: MISSOURI REDISTRICTING IS DEAD, Supreme Court strikes down 7R-1D map being used in the 2026 midterms
This REVERTS Missouri's map to 6R-2D DESPITE primaries already happening under the new map, AND mail-in ballots already going out in some locations! OUTRAGEOUS
Trump was right when he RIPPED the Missouri Supreme Court for overturning the map originally.
This map has now been upheld, then overturned, multiple times.
THIS IS ANTI-VOTER! The boundaries change every freaking week!
Yesterday, I sat down with John Holt for an exclusive interview discussing my views on a variety of important national issues and topics facing our country.
Tune in Sunday morning and watch “4 the People” to hear my perspective and the conversation firsthand! @johnholtnews@fox4kc
Yesterday, I sat down with Presiding Commissioner Bill Taylor and Commissioner @IsraelBaezaMO. Both men made clear how seriously they take their responsibility to the families of Pettis County. I also l spoke with local business owners about the economy and what it will take for more Americans to reach the American Dream.
