I unfortunately will not be able to rewatch Game 3 tonight and it’s not because I don’t want to I have to work but I still have some thoughts from last night #NBAFinals

- The Spurs came out and had a clear offensive game plan of getting Castle down hill and Wemby easy lobs. This worked perfectly and the Spurs continue to dominate the first quarter
- The Knicks turnovers were glaring. You cannot be that careless with the ball. Way too lackadaisical and the turnover problem cost them the game
- KAT needs to be more aggressive. YES, the Knicks missed him plenty of times but he has to always be looking to score. Get up 10 threes why not if youre open
- On the note of KAT, the Spurs did an unbelievable job mixing up coverages on KAT and Brunson. They were playing a football like defensive zone and it worked. Knicks offense way too much dribbling and standing around. Keep moving especially Mikal and Josh
- This was the first time in a long time Shamet came down to earth and that is fine with me, but we need to see more Deuce McBride tomorrow. 9 minutes is not enough for him. He can be the difference maker tomorrow night

Wish I had more time to dive into this game but hats off to the Spurs last night they out played, out coached, and out hustled the Knicks. I don’t really want to talk about the refs but the Spurs also out shot the Knicks from the line in the second half by 16. With ALL of that, the Knicks lost by only 4 points and had a chance to win if Castle didn’t bang that three from 30 out. The Finals weren’t going to be as easy as the last two rounds. Come back down to earth, regroup, play Knicks basketball and take a commanding league. Boots will be on the ground tomorrow and I am ecstatic to witness Finals basketball at MSG

Out shot from the ft line by 15 in the second half. 5 (but felt like a lot more) more turnovers. Couldnt buy a three in the fourth and lost by 4. Good, this team needed to come back to reality. Bring the intensity on Wednesday

Just rewatched all of Game 2 and here are my thoughts #NBAFinals

- The Knicks defense in the first quarter was as bad of a quarter they have had in a minute. However, the Knicks defense in the second and third quarter was the best ive seen. In the second quarter, they held the Spurs to 18 points and of those 18, 4 came from flagrant, technical, questionable Brunson call touching Vassell hair
- The Spurs are being and getting away with being insanely physical with Brunson. Bridges and the other guards are going have to help take the ball up tomorrow
- The Spurs pressure also starts super high, when the Knicks are able to get inside the arc with 14+ seconds is when their offense really flourishes
- The bench was amazing again. Jose has provided an instant spark off the bench, Deuce does a really good job with Harper and hit a few huge shots, Mitch had his best game of the playoffs was a defensive monster and has the two biggest stops of the game
- Where would the Knicks be without three and d demon Landry Shamet? I truly do not know
- Wingstop was worth every single asset given up and more. Mikal with the best Finals performance of his career and every shot he hit was much needed. Momentum shifting above the break threes!!!
- KAT was a monster again but needs to be more involved in the offense in the fourth quarter. I want more KAT shots tomorrow please
- Jalen Brunson got absolutely beat up all night and still had the three biggest buckets of the night for the Knicks. He missed a TON of easy shots in the fourth including a wide open three. Brunson will not miss those shots in fourth again. Captain Clutch did it again though when it mattered
- A+ job to Mike Brown and the rest of the coaching staff. The challenge of that play saved the game for the Knicks. They are also getting a ton of easy looks from their SLOB and BLOB sets and I can’t hype this team defensive game-plan up more
- Knicks need to continue to play fast. They get a ton of buckets in transition and it has Wemby not being able to set himself on defense.
- On the other side, Wemby really came alive in that second half. Knicks need to limit the off-ball Wemby help and live with OG or Mikal protecting the rim on 1-on-1 drives.

Tomorrow night, first NBA Finals game at MSG in 27 years, the place is going to be rocking. I expect a Josh Hart bounce back game tomorrow, he really dealt with foul trouble in Game 2 but I expect Wemby to guard him from the jump and the Knicks to be able to exploit that. If they want to continue to trap Brunson up high, fine with me. These guys are so locked in right now and have the best mentality from what I can tell. Yes these games were winnable for the Spurs but that did not win them and we still have not had a decent Brunson shooting night. I cannot wait to watch Finals basketball at the World’s Most Famous Arena

Game 2 thoughts with the boots being on ground
- didnt think the Knicks played even close to their best and they still won by 20
- Josh Hart game… him and Mikal have both responded as good as you possibly can with getting benched down the stretch. They some dogs fr
- Brunson can be a true point guard when he needs go be a true point guard. Playmaking masterclass from the cap
- Not to be nitpicky but how are the rotations still a little wonky
- Cavs havent won on the road all playoffs. This series is FAR from over. Need to come out like we are down 2-0 in Cleveland Saturday
