We're not talking enough about De'Shayne Montgomery
After starting as a freshman in the MAAC and a season as a role player in the SEC, Montgomery transferred to Dayton, where he's been one of the best players in the A-10 🏆

De’Shayne Montgomery was (@d35hayne) lethal yesterday, igniting a second-half surge that powered past Loyola Chicago.
The 6’4” junior put on display exactly why NBA scouts are circling his name: fearless scoring with an edge, backed by relentless, hound-like defense.

Another strong game from Dayton's De'Shayne Montgomery who's having an interesting breakout. Only NCAA player with 20+ 3PTM, 15 dunks, 3.0 STL%. Exciting athlete (66% 2PT), shooting 45% 3PT, blowing up plays defensively, PnR scorer.
MJ Collins continues to look like a MW Player of the Year candidate and Karson Templin continues to look like a mid-major Glue Guy to monitor. Utah State moves to 7-0 with an OT win over Montana State. Next up for Jerrod Calhoun’s squad: At South Florida and at Charlotte.
De'Shayne Montgomery is off to a scorching start for Dayton this year.
14.4 pts, 53.8% FG, 44.1% 3PT, 5.1 reb, 3 ast, 2.5 stl, 63.5 eFG%, 4.4 STL%
Montgomery is proving to be a dynamic off ball scorer with his spot up shooting, slashing, and transition scoring. He does a great job of getting paint touches by elongating his strides and mixing up his footwork. He's also shown some high level passing reads as an off-ball facilitator. On DEF, he's insanely disruptive with his length and quick hands. The footwork needs a lot of work at the point of attack, but his overall impact has been awesome.
