@CityCastDenver Re suburbs brunch: Parkway Cafe in Boulder. No BS classic breakfast, lunch, plus a lot of Mexican dishes. Good patio. Backs to Redstone Meadery (open for post-brunch tasting 12-5, Th-Sat).
@PaulKarolyi Pizza Week got me to listen to your pizzacast. In Boulder, you might try Fringe Pizza (in a strip mall at Valmont and 29th). Only had takeout. Wood-fired Neapolitan. The eggplant parm pizza is a wonder (sounds weird, trust me). Also arancini (fried saffron risotto).
🍎🍯We’ll be 5 for RH dinner, so going light: brisket w/nectarine jam, honey & cumin. Turkey breast w/nectarine-honey glaze. Tangy braised chickpeas. Raisin challah. Couscous pilaf. Apple cider meringues & apple cake for dessert. Hope there’s enough. #RoshHashana#ShanaTova 🍎🍯
@CityCastDenver@drslayton@CocoDavies I confess that I only read the first two because they were included in my audiobook subscription plan so I didn’t have to pay extra for them. I liked them enough that I’ll be buying the 3rd one and recommending to friends, though!
@CityCastDenver Just listened to 1st 2 books in a series by Denver author @drslayton. Third comes out next month. You should consider interviewing him if you haven’t already. The 1st book takes place mainly in Denver w/some local color that will entertain @cocodavies, I think.
@JewishWonk@CarlyPildis I have never grilled salami, but sautéing it and making salami and eggs with it was a favorite childhood breakfast. I had pastrami and eggs for lunch just today. However you make meat crispy on the edges, it is a gift from Hashem.
This is an interesting lesson in the limits of AI. Apparently, my face is younger and skinnier than my body. It did get my gender correct. I am 40% normal. Test yourself at https://t.co/sfe1glaTOq #HowNormalAmI
Three cheers for efficient bureaucracy!
Got KTN from @TSA this week. Intake appointment was on-time, took 5 minutes, and I got my number about 30 hours later.
Well done!
Terrific episode of @chutzpod this week.
A reminder that #abortion#rights are theologically and morally absolutely acceptable to some deeply thought out historical traditions.

My hot take on the Depp/Heard thing: Didn’t follow it.
Wish I wasn’t even aware of ittangentially.
None of my business.
Can we now get back to doing something about the risks of climate change and of an authoritarian theocracy taking over the US?
Impressed by the 1st 2 Fetch Phillips books by @LongLukeArnold, but “One Foot in the Fade” is my favorite to date. As an audiobook listener, it’s always great to hear an author with acting chops read their own work! Hope there will be more. #noir#fantasy#EnvironmentalAllegory
@FunnyBlindGuy@thenowshow Bad news! Will be in the UK in July, but the only gig on your site while we are there is in Manchester, before we get that far south (starting trip in Scotland). Maybe next time I’ll plan our dates better!
@Helvetica@games_by_jack Liking KnotWords enough to pay for it. Having an issue restoring subscription on iPad—server connect failure. Also, I’m visually impaired and have trouble with the dark (and light gray) text on light background—dark theme would be fantastic add. Thanks!
Big props to the @StateDept for a classic underpromise/overdeliver move. Spouse and self just received our freshly renewed passports only 19 days after mailing the expired ones. Granted we paid for expedited service, but that’s still supposed to take 5-7 weeks!
Just shared an Earl Gray cream-filled doughnut from @BlackbellyCO with my spouse. So, so good. And dinner tonight will be a hanger steak from their butcher shop. I am a fortunate person today. #Boulder#BoulderFood#HappyFriday
