GStack now learns from how you develop and tries to apply that learning to future runs. Keep hitting N+1s? CLI have weird flags that keep tripping you up?
Each iteration, we learn, and we can get better from here. (Inspired by Compound Engineering by Every, thank you!)
made my NPR debut today 🎉
and strangely enough they did not include the part of the interview where I said we should all read our Bibles more 🤷🏼♀️

Fellow believers, we’re in this because of Jesus. Not because of any human leader, mentor, teacher, family member or friend. We look to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. He is worthy of all praise, gratitude and honor. He is setting himself apart as holy in our eyes. Our solitary, singular and sinless Savior and Lord. So let God be praised and every human bow down.
To me, the real miracle in a long marriage is not so much the staying together because you can stay together with hearts miles apart. The miracle is the falling back in love. Over and over and over.
You can’t know what Keith Moore and I have been through. Nor can I know what you’ve been through.
But I know this:
our marriage is one long
drawn-out,
snail-slow,
limp-along,
nope again,
hope again,
maybe,
baby,
extended release,
sweat and tears
mighty work of God.
I have a grateful heart this morning.
Sobered by last night and trying to practice what people call radical acceptance, not of a presidential candidate because surprising things happen. Just plainly sobered by the thought that, with other individuals to choose from, masses of people still hail Trump. He’s what they actually want in a leader. A bully. A verbally abusive, artfully and purposely divisive bully who has all but left the Republican Party unrecognizable. I don’t know. I just can’t understand it. Maybe I’ve got a mental block. But, you who are staunch Republicans, why don’t you care about your own party more than that?
Forgive me. I don’t want to be a repeat performance of my 2016 self. I don’t. I didn’t like her anymore than you did. I intend to deal differently with this. I do not intend to get obsessed. I do not intend to lose more relationships. I don’t intend to talk about this regularly.
As the Scriptures say, I want to seek peace and pursue it. I want to be a person of kindness, love and compassion.
But I’ve got to move to a place of radical acceptance. It was one thing to cast a vote for a party’s only candidate, reasoning the choice as the lesser of two evils. This is quite another thing. This is wide-open-eyed, “we WANT Trump!”
Anyway, this is where we are. We can complain all we want about our leaders but, in this government by the people, at the end of the day and the beginning of November, our candidates are mirrors of ourselves.
You can tell your politics has warped your soul (regardless of your party/ policy positions!) when you start to think “the stakes are too high this time for me to act Christlike” or “this situation is too important for secondary things like love or mercy.”
Revolting beyond words. This is the United States of America; our fathers fought throughout Europe to defeat this horror. These days are perilous indeed
I know there is a lot going on in the world. Sometimes I just need to focus on a few concrete things we can do locally to make a difference. And one of those is turning abandoned houses into homes for families who need one. We have 3 houses here in Philly that are ready to renovate… and we’re trying to raise $105,000 to make it happen. Let’s do this!!!

One plus about the current state of our culture and its pull to the extremes is that most of us will never go far enough to please an unhinged public. The truth is, we become slaves to those from whom we seek approval.
What a relief to just make it our aim to please God. Everything and everyone else we bow down to, no matter how benevolent the beginning, no matter what forecasts of good, will turn tyrannical. God alone can bear the burden of being God. God alone is Light and in him alone is no darkness.
I have zero shame proclaiming the gospel of Christ in this day. In my opinion which, granted, is worth its weight in chicken feathers, the gospel is not only truth. It’s the sanest thing out there.
Jesus saves
us from ourselves
from our enemy
and from our brethren and sistren.
In light of John Eastman’s appearance on 60 Minutes, it’s a good time to remember the facts: Trump had been told repeatedly before 1/6 that his plan to overturn the election was illegal. He did it anyway. Here is what one of Trump’s own White House lawyers told Eastman on 1/7:
"Why are we so obsessed with the redemption arc of fallen leaders?" asks @StuartDelony
"Abusive preachers often step down with cardboard-thin contrition, then reenter pulpits with carefully crafted PR admissions . . . It's as unholy as it sounds"

I talked yesterday w/ @politico's @KatelynFossett on how deeply rooted Speaker Mike Johnson is in conservative evangelicalism. Also, "edited for clarity & length" is an understatement. This really just scratches the surface. https://t.co/SeZr0XoV58 via @politico
General John Kelly (former Trump chief of staff) about Donald Trump:
“What can I add that has not already been said? A person that thinks those who defend their country in uniform, or are shot down or seriously wounded in combat, or spend years being tortured as POWs...
