This punishes 150M+ ordinary Telegram users in India — not the insiders who leaked the exam materials.

And the ban hasn't stopped anything. The leaks just moved to other apps.

From day one when @BJP4India came to power in 2014 and banning adult websites it was quite obvious that it wanted to control people and their day to day lives. From banning non-vegetarian food to calling citizens who didn't agree or subscribe to the Sangh ideology, people were called anti Hindu, anti national to BJP getting citizens jailed under UAPA it was making its intention clear.
