I have not had a bad HMO experience.
I always assumed the way people tweet about how hospitals treat HMO patients were somewhat exaggerated.

Given the number of useless tweets I have seen today from doctors, I was clearly wrong.

No uterus, no ovaries, no cycle, no period, no PMS. It’s not even PMS-like. That’s like saying I have tumor-like symptoms because I have a headache. It’s disingenuous and misleading. Your “symptoms” are not symptoms, they’re side effects. You have too much estrogen in your system because you’re on medication that puts too much estrogen in your system.

You’ll go to the hospital and wonder why the hospital staff treat you, an HMO covered person like trash… it is because these are the people attending to you. Look at the mentality, the original poster and other medical practitioners in the comments inclusive.

They should ban HMO because people are utilizing their money’s worth? Is it free services you are rendering? Or are the HMO providers not paying you?

If the family with matching Ankara aren’t HMO covered and they walk into your hospital ready to pay, will you not attend to them?

Genuinely took a few minutes to make sure the HMO here means a form of Health insurance and not something else. Because as a medical practitioner, this is a severely reckless thing to say.

This likely stemmed from attending to a whole family at once. And so what? Are they there every day? Aren’t we practicing preventive healthcare anymore???

You also don’t know the status of the households and why they chose to utilize their HMO at once. Should they come several times and leave their jobs? Are they not using their money?

I cannot fathom that a Medical Doctor is advocating for the ban of health insurance in a country that has between 3-13% coverage (depending on who you ask).

Not sure why this is boiling my blood so much, but I can nod you for this thing you just said 🤬
