We came to use what could be afforded to us. Now as an adult the habit of growing up poor with limited shower tools was carried through so to this day I don't use a wash cloth and I've never had any complaints of a lack of hygiene. So some perspective as to why there are so many.

@BertShowBert I'm dedicated podcast listener so I never get to call but I wanted to add to the wash cloth debate. I'm Hispanic but I was raised in a white household. I have never heard of the stereotype of white people not using washcloths so here is my experience with it.

My mom couldn't justify buying enough wash clothes for seven kids to constantly have to wash and there is the fact that with seven kids using the same washcloths over and over between 8 of us total they would be torn up pretty quickly. So while we are a white family,
