@humblecarcosan @owenbroadcast There’s no rating discrepancy. Some players have lower 960 ratings, bc their knowledge of openings is now worthless. Because of the way ELO works, other players now MUST have a higher ELO, to balance out people with a lower ELO.

@humblecarcosan @owenbroadcast It’s not necessarily how much you study openings, but how much you’ve studied compared to similar ELO level. If you study less than average, you would have a higher 960 ELO, since everyone else’s openings they studied are now worthless.
