PSA: All infrastructure powering https://t.co/MkPMu3Lsfk is patched for https://t.co/ebMRvyR2Ly. Worth mentioning is that even before patching, builds was not directly affected, since every build runs in its own lightweight VM, considerably reducing the scope of the vulnerability
Thank you for recording this episode with me, @rickynils. I learned a few things about remote builders and stores.
Good luck with @nixbuild !

I had a great time talking about remote Nix builds and @nixbuild with @mightyiam, who hosts the awesome Full Time Nix podcast!

We have a new blog post out!
This one is a summary of some of the things we've been working on lately: A new web UI, self-hosting and more!

https://t.co/MkPMu3Lsfk is now en route to #Bazelcon in Mountain View, to learn more about @bazelbuild and talk to users combining Bazel with Nix! If you're there, don't hesitate saying hi to @rickynils and @dawaern!
@fmzakari@nixbuild I agree that there are things that could be improved on the client side when it comes to remote building in Nix. Even some low hanging fruit in there. I've been using @nixbuild exclusively for the past four years or so, though. Very very few local builds during all this time.
Dear @MSFTResearch, we are porting Nix to Windows, see https://t.co/sLJsrUskgZ and we are searching for interested customers, helpers or general funding. If you want to help, please contact me at [email protected] or via PM using X.
Finally, an update on the Apilog project (work-in-progress API testing and documentation service): https://t.co/kT0sRTz38F
We now have some (in flux) documentation and a private beta running online. DM me if you are interested in trying it out!
A few months ago I started using #NixOS and I was blown away.
Here's the result: a deep dive into how #unix systems manage software, and how #nix nukes this structure and replaces it with a design fit for the 21st century.

The next meetup of Nix in Stockholm, Sweden is scheduled for Wednesday, January 31, 2023, at 7:00 PM. The event will take place at the Nordic Light Hotel, Vasagatan 11, Stockholm. https://t.co/fDbJvnxVGB
@locallycompact I also use 'PackageImports' on all imports. But what really irks me is that you can't have imports (and type definitions) local to functions.
