BREAKING: Tesla sees massive 349% growth in Portugal. 🇵🇹
Tesla registrations in Portugal climbed nearly 4.5x YoY in May. Across the EU, Tesla registrations rose 152.4% YoY last month.
🇪🇺 According to Traficom, Finland’s national transport and communications authority, an EU-wide decision on FSD (Supervised) approval is now expected in October 2026.

🚨 Hungary 🇭🇺 on Tesla FSD: “We want to be pioneers, not followers”
Hungarian official Tanács Zoltán on Tesla’s FSD (Supervised):
“We’ve talked about it, and yes, there are already European examples of FSD on the roads. In matters such as this, we’d like to become pioneers instead of followers. However, the government hasn’t made a decision yet on this topic.”
This comes right after Finland’s transport authority (Traficom) published a strongly positive assessment today, describing the system as often making safer decisions than humans and responding faster in many situations.
More EU countries are now looking at real data and showing openness to advanced driver assistance systems. Positive momentum!

🚨 BREAKING
Germany has officially confirmed that Tesla FSD Supervised is progressing through the European approval process.
Key points from the German government’s response:
• RDW officially informed the European Commission and all EU member states on May 5, 2026
• The complete approval dossier has been submitted
• A TCMV vote on FSD Supervised is planned
• A positive vote would allow RDW to issue an EU-wide type approval
• Germany is currently evaluating the dossier through the KBA
Notably, Germany describes its approach as “technology-open and safety-oriented” and does not mention any objections to the system.
This is one of the strongest official signals yet that Tesla FSD Supervised is moving closer to approval across Europe.
@FSDWatcherDE thnx for effort bro
Shame on the @nytimes for wording this headline today to make it sound like it's already an established fact that Autopilot was on. There is literally zero evidence thus far that Autopilot was on.
@elonmusk@kylaschwaberow Yup. In this case, the driver manually overrode self-driving by pressing the accelerator all the way to 100% of the accel pedal in this residential area. They reached a speed of 73 mph during the crash, and had the accelerator pressed even after the crash.
This blatantly irresponsible reporting does more harm to people than they realize.
Using Tesla self-driving is far safer than manual driving, and this was measured over 10B miles.
Planting such FUD in the minds of general public, who might not know the all the facts, might prevent them from using this technology that makes them safer.

🚨 Tesla FSD Builds 24 Million km of Accident-Free Data in the Netherlands
Tesla’s FSD Supervised is accumulating meaningful real-world driving data in the Netherlands.
According to Reuters, the Dutch road authority RDW said that around 40,000 Tesla vehicles are currently using FSD Supervised in the Netherlands.
These vehicles have collectively driven 24 million km, with no serious incidents reported during that period.
This is significant because it shows Tesla FSD is continuing to prove itself through real-world data, even in Europe’s complex road environments.
The Netherlands is becoming a key testing ground for Tesla’s FSD expansion in Europe, and this data could positively influence the approval process in other European countries.
🔥🇪🇸 Spain is reportedly planning to approve Tesla FSD (Supervised) on June 30! 🇪🇸 👀
The country has been testing the system since November with a small fleet of roughly 19 to 30 vehicles, covering at least 80,000 km (~50,000 miles) of driving.
The Dutch vehicle authority (RDW) has released a statement after it received criticism for approving @Tesla's FSD (Supervised).
"The RDW carefully assessed and tested this driver assistance system before approval was granted. As part of this process, we analyzed and evaluated data from vehicles that had been driven in Europe. We also collected and assessed our own data and continue to monitor the performance of this system on the road.
The RDW did not rely solely on Tesla’s data; we also carried out extensive testing ourselves using our own test equipment. Over a period of more than 3,000 hours, testing took place both on test tracks and on public roads, under a wide range of conditions, including complex and busy urban traffic, a broad variety of road types, and different - including extreme - weather conditions. This included the use of data from 1.8 million kilometres driven in Europe with FSD Supervised.
The RDW’s own tests — comprising more than 1,000 test runs — were conducted in accordance with European regulations. The Tesla data used by the RDW also complied with those rules. The RDW independently assessed and validated the process used to collect the data.
Through these tests, the RDW gathered objective information and verified the manufacturer’s data. The RDW does not base its assessment solely on information provided by the manufacturer. We carried out extensive independent investigation. On the basis of this overall process, the RDW concluded that the system meets the applicable requirements. As a result, a European type approval valid for use in the Netherlands was granted.
Safety is the RDW’s foremost priority. This Tesla driver assistance system supports the driver to a greater extent than other systems because, when activated, it takes over multiple driving tasks. The proper use of driver assistance systems makes a positive contribution to road safety by supporting the driver in performing driving tasks; it is intended as an aid to the driver. Owing to the continuous and strict monitoring of the driver in the vehicle, this driver assistance system is at least as safe as other driver assistance systems. We have thoroughly assessed and tested this system over a period of more than 18 months."

A Model Y driver started experiencing a medical emergency with chest pain mid-drive & called his son.
His son then remotely rerouted the car – which had FSD Supervised enabled – to the nearest hospital & let them know the vehicle was en route. ER staff were standing by on arrival.
Doctors later confirmed the quick reroute likely saved his life.
🚨 Dutch Minister Karremans just delivered a masterclass defense in Parliament against the latest Reuters/ETSC narrative.
While critics try to sow doubt with old Tesla marketing stats, the RDW’s independent work speaks for itself:
✅ 1.8+ million km of real-world testing on European roads.
✅ 1,000+ rigorous scenario tests on test tracks.
✅ Own RDW test equipment + data collection, not relying on Tesla’s self published figures.
✅ Extreme weather, complex urban traffic, highways. All independently validated
✅ Nearly 40,000 Dutch Teslas with FSD Supervised have already driven 24 million km with no notable incidents.
The minister made it crystal clear: the RDW did its own thorough research. Safety comes first. Period.
This is what evidence based regulation looks like. The Netherlands continues to lead Europe responsibly while others chase headlines.
Huge respect to Minister @vincentkar for standing firm and shutting down the FUD. 🇳🇱✅

🚨 BREAKING: Dutch Minister Karremans pushes back hard against the NOS/Reuters narrative on Tesla in Parliament.
“The RDW does NOT rely on Tesla marketing claims.
We conduct our own independent research more than 1.6 million kilometers of real-world testing on Dutch roads.
Safety comes first. Period.”
The Netherlands continues to lead Europe in evidence-based regulation. While critics speculate, the RDW makes decisions based on data, testing, and facts.
This is what taking innovation seriously looks like.
