What else would we call it, Jason? 🤨
With the help of #FightBackNow volunteers, we talked to hundreds of Albertans— including the premier herself— about pulling the separatist question off of the Ballot.
In case she doesn’t, we made sure to educate people on why Separation is bad so that they’re ready to vote against it on October 19th.
Both business and labour agree separating would be detrimental to the economy hurting business and workers across the province. We can’t let that happen.
Oh, Bruce. Premier Smith’s own chief of staff wants to talk about why First Nations communities face addiction, poverty, and kids in care — without once mentioning residential schools, stolen land, broken treaties, or the billions extracted from Treaty territory that provincial and federal governments never shared with the people it belonged to.
You’re pointing at the wounds of 150 years of colonization like First Nations did this to themselves.
What’s wild — you’re advising the Premier. This is the thinking inside that office. The chiefs haven’t heard from Smith in months. Your government isn’t calling them. It isn’t partnering with them. It’s ignoring them, steamrolling their rights, and then acting shocked when they fight back.
Bold strategy — ignore them for months, then lecture them on priorities.

#Opinion "A hundred bucks! And Premier Danielle Smith thinks we should be grateful for this small clutch of Dani Dollars. What an insult."

This is absolutely vile. @ABDanielleSmith you should be ashamed of yourself, take some ownership over the position you’ve put Alberta & FN in. The treaty chiefs aren’t the 1st to point out what many have called treasonous behaviour.
@StevenBonkMP@flattakes Steven, Carney is at a much more important meeting. It’s SHOCKING you don’t understand that and confirms you and your entire Party’s incompetence…

Indigenous peoples in Alberta have Treaty Rights & a constitutional Duty to be Consulted
Opposing separation isn’t them failing to ‘check themselves.’
It’s exercising rights that predate this province and this premier
They don’t need to check themselves.
Danielle does.
It's a bold choice to have Rick Bell hype up the Danibucks program as much as he did and for Smith to step up with enough money to halfway fill a single pickup tank of gas...
