Here we come for JOE BOB'S HALLOWEEN HOUSE PARTY, the LAST Halloween show of The Last Drive-In. We're gonna party like the plague victims in Nosferatu! Double feature starting at 9 Eastern/6 Pacific next Friday the 23rd. The best part: Folks on Death Row can do ANYTHING WE WANT!
CINEASTE, the ultimate deep-dive film magazine for 60 years, has always been non-profit, with a volunteer staff, but now needs donations to avoid the long line of print journals that have disappeared. Please give them money, nobody does what they do.

At Boston's Museum of Fine Art, in the "NEW TITLES" section, JOE BOB GOES TO THE DRIVE-IN resides next to SCHIAPARELLI: FASHION BECOMES ART. Surrealist fashion or surrealist movie reviews?--you decide. I like to think Salvador Dali would choose me. (Besides, I'm $15 cheaper.)
Just one day after ending "The Late Show" on CBS, Stephen Colbert returned to TV — to host a public access show with rocker Jack White in Monroe, Michigan.
Appearances by Jeff Daniels, Eminem and Steve Buscemi.
Thanks to the MutantFam for showing up and making these shows so much easier to do! We love you all! You have not seen the last of Wally! @shudder@kinky_horror
@liel But you’re not really an American. You just cosplay as one while you’re writing rage bait for redpilled pseudo-intellectuals, but the Post pays better for that than for being a video game scholar. Plus the editors don’t care that you overuse “woke” like a drunk, Republican uncle.
If you intend to celebrate Walpurgisnacht with me on April 24, you will study this three-page document intensely. I have failed five times to get Walpurgisnacht adopted as an American holiday, but I feel like THIS IS THE YEAR. Joe Bob's Wicked Witchy Wingding, only on @Shudder.
The drive-in will never die, but Joe Bob Briggs and Darcy the Mail Girl’s time with THE LAST DRIVE-IN on Shudder is coming to an end. We thank them for seven seasons worth of memories. https://t.co/MMWNOlEmqA
The Oscars In Memoriam ignored him but I cannot. He was my friend. I put him in five films.
In early January I buried James “PJ” Ransone after he committed suicide…
He was a complex, funny, talented, and undeniably reckless person. He was wildly alive and deeply loved.
I know he said some infuriating things online, but the last time I saw him, he cried with regret for all of that. “I didn’t mean to hurt anyone’s feelings,” he said.
Please don’t trash him here.
He is dearly missed.
Leave it to a bunch of voting members of @TheAcademy to fuck up the #bestsupportingactor award. Y’all robbed Delroy Lindo so you could give another Oscar to Spicoli.
Sometimes I talk too much--as @kinky_horror constantly reminds me--but this Variety article explains a lot of what I've been sharing privately as I try to answer all the wonderful messages. Thank you, William, for kind of summing it all up.

Imagine posting this all evening after the feedback. No direct engagement with the fans, no fan support. No care. It was an abrupt cancellation. The show deserved more, the mutants deserved better. Joe Bob Forever? Absolutely but no thanks to @Shudder#MutantFam#TheLastDriveIn
Now raise your right hand and repeat after us!! let’s all take The Drive-In Oath for the Series Finale on Shudder.

@therealjoebob@kinky_horror You prove over and over again that the drive-in will never die- and you’ll do it again. I am so proud to be your friend. Love you guys.
