Fighting for my life biking home today. Almost got hit multiple times (by cars and motorcycles). So many cars stopped in the mass Ave bike lane (so scary to go around)

Rush hour traffic + post-Red Sox game traffic + warm weather = trouble in poorly designed cities for 🚲

Went back n forth about transit vs bike today. Ended up going transit bc the weather in the afternoon is unpredictable. Was expecting a horrific trip in but so far so good! Aside from my pants being drenched by the rain….

Approaching my apartment building (on bike ofc) and slow down to disembark… right before I’ve come to a complete stop a 🐀 runs out in front of me/under me to meet its death…. (Photo at end of thread)

It is now dead, right in front of my apartment building door. It’s fat, bloody, and HUGE. I saw two people stop to take pictures/exclaim just from when it happened to when I went inside. I don’t know what the next steps are. Except a hot, long shower.

Today was an atypical Monday, wherein I biked to campus... The drivers seems worse than Tuesday drivers (is that a thing?) and I had several near misses.

The only thing that made my commute OK was my tbt playlist including hits like Bad (ft. Rihanna), Firework, and Promiscuous
