@BramfordHistory My father Derek died in 2024 aged 96 so I can’t ask him. He might well have done gone by Herbert. I know there were a few cottages up Tye Lane near ‘Copenhagen’ - my father would write to his mother to say when we would visit

@BramfordHistory Later he moved to ‘Copenhagen’ on Tye Lane where my father lived during the war with his mother 2 brothers & 3 sisters. No running water or electricity. My grandad ended up working for the Jacksons.
