People are getting frustrated because they think "if the loss in revenue for THIS WHOLE MONTH wasn't enough to force their hand, then speaking with our wallet isn't enough!"

What those people fail to understand is: Businesses have built in runway. A single month of bad sales is a signal, not an immediate killer. Infold won't bankrupt over a month of bad revenue. They won't EOS over a single month of bad revenue. If they are like every other competent business out there (pauses for laughter), then they have a good war chest of money to get them through without having to do a damn thing, before it gets DIRE.

For example, the company I work for knows that if we do LITERALLY NOTHING and stop gaining a single cent in revenue, we can continue operating normally for 3 years.

NORMALLY. For THREE YEARS.

And we are nowhere near as big as Infold as a company.

That's not at all to say that Infold will string us along for YEARS (that would be actually insane), but that's to paint the picture that while what we're doing is EFFECTIVE, it doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be FAST.

There are A LOT of unknowns at play, but what we DO KNOW is that businesses at their core care about revenue.

A drop this big is a huge signal. Even if it doesn't force their hand to move right away, we have to OUTLAST THEM, because right now the game MIGHT be that they're waiting to see if we get tired and give up and go back to spending like before.

But if we OUTLAST THEM and their revenue CONTINUES to tank/plateau at a historic low for the company, they will have no choice but to address it. Because while they do have runway, the goal of a business is not to burn THROUGH that runway. It's to grow profit and continue to pad the runway and expand operations.

It's a game of stamina that we're playing with them at this point.

So the TL;DR is:
* Don't spend.
* If you can help it, don't log in.
* If you have to pull on Caleb do it with saved resources and DON'T. SPEND.

Keeping consistent pressure on their bottom line is what will be the strongest communicator with them and is what will eventually force them to act.

To help every Genshin player understand the scope of the LADS boycott: Imagine if, nine days before the release of Snezhnaya, HoYoverse suddenly released a letter announcing that Snezhnaya was cancelled. Imagine they pledged never to release a new region again because Chinese "antis" deemed Snezhnaya "not Chinese enough," heaped hate on the nation in the domestic market and spat in the faces of global players - telling them they were too poor to fund even a single blade of grass in the game's development.

THAT is exactly the scale of the battle the LADS community is fighting right now!

This isn't comparable to just deleting a single character in Genshin.

LADS only has five characters so far. People waited years for Valko. Our entire game revolves around our handful of men. They hold the same weight for LADS that an entire nation does for Genshin.

I’m in a position to judge this - I’m a long-time, high-level player of both @Love_Deepspace and @GenshinImpact, I own absolutely every 5-star character and have poured a lot of money into both games.

I think the Genshin community would have risen up and lost their minds, too!
You would have fought tooth and nail just like us - don't you think? 😉
