Coins launched on rift don’t start out as tokens. Until a coin reaches its bonding market cap (set at 75% of pumpfun’s), it lives entirely inside a rift program. It becomes a real token only once it bonds.
The pre-bonding program uses the same curve as pumpfun, so buying and selling work exactly the way traders expect. We run coins on a program instead of minting the token up front because it lets us control who can trade. Every rift account is verified through Persona, our identity verification provider, which ties each account to a verified identity. Each account is then linked to one wallet per chain (Solana for now), and before any buy or sell goes through, the program checks that the wallet belongs to a verified account.
The result is a guaranteed floor of real people under every rift coin. Each person gets one wallet, so nobody can spread buys across a cluster of wallets to bundle a launch. By the time a coin bonds and becomes a token, about 75% of its supply is already held by verified people.
It was launched on Rift first; The tokens were sent out by the rift program after bonding.
Rift creates a new wallet for the Rift account, so every wallet needs to be funded brand new.
