@wihazarhd Ngl I’m not a huge fan of this game cuz I just can’t gel with the gameplay, but the story makes up for it man this game has some of the best characters in the series
@SN_Monkey@sskhina That’s how I justify other characters being just as powerful as SOLDIERS without being ones themselves. People might not agree with that and that’s perfectly fair, but it’s the explanation I subscribe to until it’s explained officially(if they ever do at all, it’s not necessary)
@SN_Monkey@sskhina I understand this argument, but I just disagree. The games never describe mako as the ONLY way to get super strong in this world, but more as a singular, shorter, yet more dangerous path to power.
@SN_Monkey@sskhina Yeah ofc it doesn’t make sense, that’s what I’m saying. Tifa has super strength because it’s a video game that wants to let you pull off cool shit. It wouldn’t be fun if you punched robots with her and it did absolutely nothing but bruise her fists.
@dolphnblw@_strifehart She’s a lot like Cloud in that way, and just like him, she faces the tragedies that made her this way head on, rejecting what the world and its hardships had turned her into and embracing her true self.
Or at least that’s how I see it.
@dolphnblw@_strifehart People forget that this is how Tifa is deep down. She was much more outgoing and cheerful as a kid, but all the tragedies she suffered caused her to change, becoming introverted and passive.
@KyleMichel2@RichardTaters88@finalfantasyvii This isn’t a part of the main narrative, it’s optional easily skippable side content you can visit for a small HP boost. If you wanna talk about narrative, look at the snowboarding from the og, which is necessary to progress the main story.
@Awk20000 Pro tip for any game dev: Stop putting women into shooter games unless they're meant to be primarily eye candy
The guys who play these games don't want to be ordered around by some butch masculine girlboss
It appeals to no one and is off-putting to nearly everyone
