The bounce, aside from sounding cool, changes the angle of attack for ruckman and makes it a better test of skill. Having a throw up every time reduces the centre square ruck contest to a basketball tip off with a run up.

@MagpieMetalcore@mallen101 I’ll just leave this here. Same time of year, poor season, interstate oppenent. It happens to all clubs. Yep, that same season was below Collingwood long term average.
