@GWRHelp I have an any route permitted train ticket from London to Cardiff for Sunday bought via Trainline, but no seat reservation for pre-3pm service. Can I still board a morning train? Your updated “mandatory seat reservation” isn’t in my ticket T&Cs.
@GWRHelp Hi, I see the advice has been changed again. This is exceptionally poor communications causing many people a lot of headaches. Can you now confirm our super off peak return tickets with no seat reservations are fine to use tomorrow morning? Thanks
@GWRHelp Thanks Julia. This conflicts with what info your colleague shared last night hence confusion. So essentially everyone who bought super off peak tickets months ago can’t travel even though it was before these restrictions were added in? And that my ticket says any route permitted?
@AFCFixtureNews@bootifulgame Going to be a lot of angry fans tomorrow if this is enforced. GWR saying super off peak tix without seats not allowed to travel (despite National Rail rules saying you can). And they’re still selling tickets without reservations! Shambles.
@DarrenArsenal1@AST_arsenal@10akhil Going to be a lot of angry fans tomorrow if this is enforced. GWR saying super off peak tix without seats not allowed to travel (despite National Rail rules saying you can). And they’re still selling tickets without reservations! Shambles.
@GWRHelp Hi, can someone clarify please? You are sharing conflicting information and people need to know whether to make alternative travel arrangements or refund their train bookings. Thank you
@GWRHelp So there’s a potential that the train tickets bought in good faith won’t be valid? And we won’t know until we get to the station and run the risk of both missing the game in Cardiff and not getting a refund? This isn’t acceptable given the thousands of fans in this position.
@GWRHelp Thanks, but that contradicts your advice given on the website and X (attached). We’re not worried about standing - it’s whether the tickets we have bought not being usable despite the Trainline T&Cs saying they can be. And losing money and time on Sunday. Can we board or not?
@GWRHelp But we don’t have any seat reservations. We booked the 1345 service with a super off peak return so we could get an earlier service. But your website indicates that’s not possible. We don’t want to waste our time/money. Many fans in same scenario. Please clarify what’s allowed?
@sanjtee @JohnEdward1810@AFCFixtureNews More nonsense. All ticket info and sale dates are available on the website. It is your responsibility to check it, as it is for the entire pool of 3,000+ members who attend away games. If you can’t be bothered, you must not be that fussed.
@miknik@AfcWWRL@AFC_GLEN 2 full seasons + current. You simply keep going and adding as your credit tiers build up. Took me 12 years, thousands of miles and £££ to do — shouldn’t be any different for anyone else.
@miknik@AfcWWRL@AFC_GLEN How long have you been a season ticket holder? If you started building your credits in 2021 and were committed to building them up, you would now be on 7 credits and well on your way
@TonyUdall1@AST_arsenal@MrArk Exactly.
There’s no consideration for circumstance too. Everton went on sale without a known fixture date. We didn’t know it until 2 weeks before the game. If half the people who bought couldn’t make the Sunday, would AFC prefer tickets gifted to family or half empty away end?
