Small groups used the @RightQuestion technique to ask questions about a document that introduced our unit. They discovered the idea of tablature for reading dulcimer music.

Tried Question Formation Technique with my students. I gave them the phrase “Art is math” and asked them to write questions that come to mind when they see that. The questions were as expected. When we started discussing our previous projects, they were able to see the connection between the two subjects. #ListenToYourArt

We tried our first QFT this week. Students wrote questions as they listened to a song by @Trombshorty we were using for our lesson. I loved watching their questions! They answered all of the questions themselves as they watched a video of the song later. @KedcARTS@RightQuestion
Many thanks to Sarah Westbrook with @RightQuestion for responding so quickly and clarifying information for me with how to start a QFT. Examples and worksheets are just what I needed to get started. @KedcARTS@KEDCGrants@DrJWEvansJr@KingWendy_m
On 2/5 after a Power of Question Formation session by @RightQuestion I started thinking about my students’ thinking and if they were thinking what I was hoping they would think during a lesson. Today, I began thinking of ways to lead my students’ thinking from art➡️math➡️art.
This should be posted in every classroom. Did you know that 3-year-olds average 30 questions per hour, but college students only average 3? What happens to our questions? With @KEDCGrants@KedcARTS we are digging into this with @RightQuestion#Arts2KyEd#ListenToYourArt
An edumyth that I see regularly used to criticize inquiry teaching is that it's necessarily unstructured & chaotic which leads to poor learning outcomes.
The Question Formulation Technique, developed by the @RightQuestion Institute is a great, highly structured, inquiry tool.
@teachthemx3@Doug_Lemov@RightQuestion I notice that students don’t know how to ask questions. Check out the magic of the Question Formulation Technique (QFT). Maybe start with an image of a triangle as a question focus before Desmos task.
We are thrilled to be at #NCSS2025 and connect with educators! Join us at any of our sessions and stop by our booth to learn more about the Question Formulation Technique! @NCSSNetwork
