This leaves @netflix in a strange place..where @Apple hit a home run with #F1TheMovie and now @AmazonMGMStudio hits it out of the park with @HailMary ; Investors should be asking a) why are we leaving so much money on the table ? b) Wouldn’t a hit theatrical film drive subscription ? c) Can we not build that IP further ? d) Should we see ourselves as a content company vs a platform company ? e) wouldn’t it be easy to attract top global talent given the fact we gave them long theatrical releases rather than token symbolism ? f ) are we really competing with movie theatres ?
