Living in a country that says soccer is so embarrassing because if you say football you sound pretentious but if you say soccer people think you’re American
This photo was taken two years and 10 days ago. Not six years ago. And his play hasn’t dropped off, at all. His team hasn’t won another chip, but they haven’t cratered. He didn’t get hurt, or call anyone on his squad out. It’s amazing to me that we are where we are right now.
Something I'll add as trade rumors swirl- this city LOVES Jaylen Brown. The typical Boston sports fans I talk to when I'm out & about are sick at the concept of JB being traded, regardless of how good the returning player is. It's very much a case of Twitter is not real life.
When Ismaël Koné arrived in Montreal from the Ivory Coast, he used to go to Loyola Park after a snowfall shovel a patch for him and the ball and just play. His soccer journey is quintessentially Canadian. He's adored in St. Laurent and Montreal, and now across Canada #CanMNT
🚨 QUELLE MAGNIFIQUE IMAGE, C'EST POUR ÇA QU'ON AIME LE FOOTBALL ! ❤️
Nathan Saliba 🇨🇦 dédie son (magnifique) but à son coéquipier Ismaël Koné, qui risque d'être absent pendant de longs mois... 🙏
