If your church did not mention Sauron’s deception of Ar-Pharazôn, leading to the ill-fated assault on Aman in S.A. 3310 and thereby precipitating the Downfall of Númenor, find a new church.

Liberalism is a demonic death cult. It has long gloried in the slaughter of the unborn and the mutilation of children, so of course it rejoices when an image-bearer of God is gunned down in public. Murder is not an aberration of its creed; it is the creed.

@lasswell_lass @JustinPetersMin Are you referring to John Newton?
How would you say he is "at best, unsavory"?

@tannerdibella @rankheresy While testing songs with scripture is good no matter where a song comes from, it does definitely matter where a song comes from when determining whether or not to sing it in your church.
If Cardi B wrote a super theologically sound hymn I still wouldn't sing it in church.

@PastorLibrarian @DustinLeroux First ep is by far the best imo.

A church member recently asked me, “What’s the hardest part about being a pastor?”

My answer:

Walking with people through a major life issue only for them to leave the church at some point over something petty, often without ever talking to you.
