Jesus not only saves our souls, but He wants to guide our lives. God has invested His power into your soul, now itโs time to get Godโs word into your heart and follow His unfailing game plan for life. Sacrifice daily, find accountability, and take on the habits of Jesus.
From a cultural perspective, morals seem to evolve. But in scripture, morals have been established since the beginning of time. There is truth and morality built into the world that began at creation. The Bible calls this phenomenon โwisdomโ.
Praying that 2022 is a year of going much deeper into listening. Receiving and responding to Godโs love on a daily basis. Doing right by the people around me and allowing God to expand my capacity for serving and giving.
โBut all who listen to me will live in peace, untroubled by fear of harm.โ - Proverbs 1:33
I would like to live with peace and untroubled by fear or harm, tyvm ๐๐ผ
I feel like listening begins with quiet Bible reading/meditation and prayer/reflection. Itโs in those moments when Iโm awake with my Bible and coffee while everyone else in my house is asleep. Nothing profound, just available to Jesus.
I guess it all comes down to grace. In order to say โNoโ, there needs to be the gift of understanding and endurance for that relationship. If Iโm not willing to have differing opinions between myself and another person, then how would I ever expect to have lasting relationships?
โIโm just amazed that you just told him no without saying the word โNoโ.โ One of my co-workers said this to me at a meeting recently and it made me question everything about my communication.
I read once that true intimacy with another human being can only be developed through a blend of reality and security. Each individual needs to voice whatโs true for them and there needs to be a culture within that relationship where honesty is seen as a gift, not a weapon.
And for all the Evangelicals and Charismatics who want to separate character from policy, this is what happens when you separate character from policies.
