There are many schools of thought about the best way to develop hitters. Every player is different. At the end of the day, results are the only thing that matters. We’re lucky to have a great hitting guy in @CoachRickSodo. The 4 guys below worked hard all year & it paid off.

2024 LHP @rileypenn33

Another heigh ceiling arm. All signs point to velo jups down the road. 6-foot-2, southpaw w/a ton of projection left. Spins the heater well with high IDV (20"") and as he fills out the low 80s heater will climb. Slurvy breakingball that he showed feel for. at 2500rpms. Very interesting arm.

[University School Baseball @USbsbl]

Finally, congratulations to the these fine young men for being selected as captains for the 2024 season:

2024 LHP Riley Penn
@RileyPenn33 | @USbsbl

FB: 78-81
CB: 66-70
CH: 70-74

Intriguing LHP in the ‘24 class. We’ve seen him up to 83mph from the left side with a high spin rate on the FB & sweeper CB that keeps hitters off balance. EZ/loose arm action.
