Never forget when Master P hired crisis actors to act distraught over his “retirement” to help promote this album (he dropped 2 albums the next year 😭)
Marketing legend
These videos about Trump being a corrupt politician because of him stealing money aren’t going to move the needle.
The people who voted for him didn’t do it because they thought he was ethical.
For many of them, it’s about maintaining a social hierarchy of white supremacy. Wanting to believe they’re still above Black people.
They would rather be poorer, sicker, and worse off themselves if it means they can still believe they’re doing better than Black people and minorities.
So I understand the point of these videos, but that’s not what’s going to change poor White America’s mind. 😐
Three months ago today, a war began that no one voted for — and the cost has been paid by people who had no say in it.
Thousands of civilians have lost their lives. Thirteen U.S. servicemembers will never come home to their families.
Americans across this country and our city have watched prices rise at the pump and the grocery store, their budgets strained by a conflict launched without a single vote of Congress.
Every life lost abroad and every dollar squeezed from a working family here is part of the same reckless bill, handed to the people who could least afford it by those who will never pay it themselves.
I opposed this war from the first day. I oppose it still. It must end.
Young people are always told what not to do. But what should you do?
Did you know that most public libraries have a Nintendo Switch to use? That parks show free movies at night? That there's a map of pickup basketball games?
https://t.co/Nb8rOAGO4T is a map of free and affordable things to do this summer that we made just for you.
Because public programs mean nothing if you don't know how to access them.
The Atlantic slave trade is not singled out because other slavery didn't exist.
It is singled out because it built the world we currently live in.
The financial institutions.
The insurance markets.
The shipping routes.
The racial categories.
The colonial borders.
The wealth distribution between continents that still defines the global economy today.
The Atlantic slave trade is not studied with particular intensity because historians are biased.
It is studied with particular intensity because its consequences are not historical.
They are present.
You don't single it out to assign ancient blame.
You examine it to understand current reality.
The reason your argument wants to dissolve that specificity into universal human wickedness is precisely because universal human wickedness requires nothing from anyone today.
Specific, traceable, present consequences do.
In the era of #ArtificialIntelligence, when human dignity is threatened by new forms of dehumanization, ours is the pressing duty to remain profoundly human. We must lovingly safeguard the grandeur of humanity bestowed upon us and revealed in its fullness in Christ, the splendor of which no machine can ever replace. #MagnificaHumanitas
