@HFletcherWood This is great Henry. Back in 321 schools, scenario training was the most liked session by teachers. Every teacher had 5 minutes to use a pedagogy practice and receive feedback from peers. By EOD they had multiple opportunities to do everything you have listed above
Sometimes the meals for my 8 month old are like painstakingly good (the left image) and sometimes absolutely effortless (the right one).
Both are fine. Scratch that, both are great.
Because neither is a measure of my worth as a mother, yet both are that of me trying my best
Not to forget sleepless nights, chronic fatigue and an abundance of bodily spills to clean.
Sometimes my work days are composed of deep-diving flow-level work and sometimes I blunderingly send an email to the wrong recipient!

Ahh, teaching comes so naturally to me, I thought. Until the exam scores bursted my bubble. Poor scores, even in lessons I โthoughtโ went well. ๐
Eleven years on, I still hold this memory close. It reminds me of the power of empathy and the infinite potential in our kids. ๐ช๐ผ

Confession: As a novice teacher, I thought I was the most knowledgeable person in the classroom. And it took forty 4th graders to make me realise I was wrong.
Month two as a new teacher: Struggling to engage kids and interruptions were my nemesis. ๐ซ
That night, despite the exhaustion, I couldnโt sleep.
A veil of misunderstanding had been lifted.
My kids know so much more than me.
I have so much to learn.
