Yesterday, the nation's young came out in Delhi to peacefully protest. They came with love in their hearts, not hatred or anger. They were beaten, both by cops and BJP goons.

This is not the India we want.

Tomorrow, we will march to the Supreme Court as Indians, united beyond party, gender, caste, community and state.

Youth, all opposition parties, civil society groups, all those who believe in democracy and stand by the Constitution of India, will walk with us.

We will submit a memorandum to the Chief Justice on behalf of the nation, demanding an end to vote chori, halting of SIR and the resignation of Gyanesh Kumar.

Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Ajit Doval and Mohan Bhagwat cannot silence India's voice. These cowards cannot intimidate us. They will have to step aside.

We will march together, with love, brotherhood and patriotism.

नरेंद्र मोदी, अमित शाह, अजित डोभाल और मोहन भागवत भारत की आवाज़ को दबा नहीं सकते। ये कायर हमें डरा नहीं सकते। इन्हें पीछे हटना ही होगा।
हम सब साथ चलेंगे - मोहब्बत, भाईचारे और देशभक्ति के साथ।

The core characteristic of these people is cowardice.

सारे नेताओं को गिरफ़्तार कर लीजिए। सारे युवाओं को गिरफ़्तार कर लीजिए। हम सबको गिरफ़्तार कर लीजिए।

घबराइये मत - हम आपको चारों तरफ़ से घेर रहे हैं, और हम पीछे हटने वाले नहीं हैं।
मेरी बात याद रखिए - हमें जो जानकारी चाहिए, वह हमारे पास पहले से है।

हम अपने संविधान की रक्षा करेंगे। हम हिंदुस्तान की जनता की आवाज़ की हिफ़ाज़त करेंगे। और हम यह सुनिश्चित करेंगे कि पिछले 10-15 सालों में हिंदुस्तान के साथ जो हुआ है, वह दोबारा कभी, किसी भी सूरत में न हो।

मणिपुर में BSF जवान के घर में सोते दो नन्हे बच्चों की हत्या की खबर दिल को चीर देने वाली है।

मणिपुर में हिंसा की दहकती हुई आग में आज 3 साल बाद भी निर्दोष बच्चे झुलस रहे हैं - शांति का कोई संकेत दूर-दूर तक नजर नहीं आता।

मोदी सरकार इतनी संवेदनशून्य और पत्थरदिल हो गई है कि मानो यह भूल चुकी है कि मणिपुर के बच्चे भी देश के बच्चे हैं, हमारा भविष्य हैं।

कब जागेगी ये सरकार? आखिर कब तक अपनों की लाशें गिनते-गिनते मणिपुर करता रहेगा इंतज़ार?

मैं बार-बार कहता आया हूं , शांति ही एकमात्र रास्ता है। सभी समुदायों को साथ लाकर, संवेदनशीलता से ही इस संकट का स्थायी समाधान निकाला जा सकता है।

प्रधानमंत्री जी, मणिपुर सिर्फ एक राज्य नहीं है, ज़िम्मेदारी है। सिर्फ नाम का एक बयान काफी नहीं, सिर्फ दिखावे का एक दौरा काफी नहीं।

आपको ठोस और तत्काल कदम उठाने ही होंगे - इससे पहले कि हालात पूरी तरह नियंत्रण से बाहर हो जाएं।

Last night, I was sleeping on a small sofa in my mother’s room at the hospital, and like any son, I was extremely worried about her health.

The whole night, I was comforted by only one thing. I was comforted by a nurse from Keralam who came in every hour to check on my mother. Every single hour, she would come and check on her. She would smile, and she would hold her hand. I found myself thinking about how many sons, daughters, brothers, and sisters have been comforted in their most difficult moments by nurses from Keralam.

Early in the morning, I asked her, “Do you sleep at night, or do you work the whole night?” And she said, “I work all night.” So, while the whole world sleeps, women from Keralam, not only in Keralam but also in Delhi, across the country, and around the world, are comforting people, holding their hands, and making them feel at ease.

For me, this is the spirit of the state of Keralam.

It’s shameful to see an adult, in a responsible seat as that of the Chief Minister to touch the veil of a lady in front of him.

In any other nation, the ruling establishment would have punished such an act, the media would have lambasted this act and the person would have resigned from public life in shame.

Be it a hijab, be it a ghoongat, be it a face mask or be it whatever the lady is wearing, NOBODY has the right to touch her, or to pull it off or force it on.

What’s more disgusting is someone defending the act as “father figure” or a minister saying “touched only the naqab, what if he had had touched elsewhere”.
He must be your father figure, isn’t hers! And if he was, it still gives him no right to do this.

If this is the state of politics, and this is acceptable to you, remember it starts with them but comes to you.

When you don’t raise your voice for someone else facing injustice, thinking it’s someone else, the unjust act will come to you, and you won’t be able to raise your voice.

What a shame!
