At SSKM (PG) Hospital- Kolkata, water has allegedly been poured on the seating area to prevent sick people from sitting. A staff member on duty reportedly said that this was done ‘under instructions from above.’ There are also allegations that people protesting were threatened that their mobile phones would be thrown away.

This behavior is extremely concerning and inhumane. People come to hospitals expecting medical care and humane treatment, not harassment.

We request the concerned authorities to investigate the matter promptly and take appropriate action against those responsible.

Humanity is not a luxury; it is a fundamental responsibility.
