I felt gross about Twitter, so I moved to Mastodon, and I recommend you do too. I understand that academic Twitter helps some of us network and find papers to read, but I think we should weigh the good and bad consequences of continuing to use Twitter. Some thoughts/feelings ...
Because this is an attention economy, you vote with your engagement behavior. This means that deciding to engage/disengage has consequences in the same way as spending money does. I encourage you to thus consider that decision an ethical matter.
@bayesianboy I strongly recommend trying to get a prescription migraine medicine. I have been using sumatriptan, and it usually destroys my migraine in 1-2 hours
