@tovahinto Working on it! Unfortunately I’m very disabled and my support system lives here but 🤞 with better symptom management I can live independently again
it’s pride month and I can’t stop thinking that unless my dentist is an ally I prob won’t see a single rainbow flag in person I need OUT of this rural shithole of a town where the only community you can get is the Catholic fucking church
I’m not here to police anybody’s writing but unfortunately I spent 4 years getting a degree that Drilled into my head that you should almost always use “said” unless how they say it is of Utmost Importance and I discovered I genuinely do like it way times better doing it that way
TO ALL LOOKING FOR THE SITE ITS: https://t.co/7U7uyBIwcE
it has over 300 synonyms organized by feeling/situation! i’ve been using it for 5 years no joke LMAO
@cyreneofego yeah synonyms can be really important and I think this is especially a great tool if you know the word you want but can’t fully remember it or for writers who don’t speak english fluently! I just also know a lot of ppl assume all repetition is bad so wanted to add my two cents!
so like use synonyms if you want to of course!! have fun!!! but also do not feel bad for repeating the word said a lot it is in fact common professional writing advice to do just that 😭 also my fave way to avoid it is to describe their face/actions
@lilBatSunglass I’m so sorry you’re struggling bats 💛 but you were not washed and I’m sure aren’t now, and I look forward to seeing whatever you create when you do
tomorrow is my last day of freshman year, its 1am and i still havent finished my last assignment so i doodled phildren pride stickers to cope 💕 #phanart (?)
the vision for this (not dnp) fic was long one-shot but now I’ve written 3000 words with just one smut scene and I fear the vision will end up multichap
@houseofsham imo queer women are generally included in girls but not in gays but also sometimes with the assumption that they not be Too Queer and participate in traditional femininity (up to and often including attraction to men)
and like idk I don’t think we should be parroting myths that are used to justify SH/SA to defend a fictional character.
the scene in the book/show is not SH bc we know Shane wanted it bc it is *fiction* written as consensual therefore it is consensual. not bc he was hard?
I’m gonna be that friend that’s too woke but why does the whole HR fandom use “Shane was hard” as evidence that the shower scene could not be SH? like I agree in the book/show it’s not SH but the idea that “physical arousal = consent” is a myth weaponised against irl victims
