T’day 1/2 my patients got the same message for a huge range of chronic illness. ‘ I don’t want to keep prescribing’. ‘Let’s do it differently’. ‘Let’s talk about your refined carb intake, your sleep, your stress levels, your relationships’. #lowcarb#generalpractice#wellness
IT’S OUR BIRTHDAY 🥳🎉

@CrossFit Chronic perceived stress is closely linked to chronic disease. The reduction in health span and lifespan that follows does not have to be a given! Just understanding what stress is and what is does gives us some agency to make change. Our response to situations can be changed.

.@rinichat: "Short-term mild stress and the subsequent physiological response it provokes in us can be beneficial. Stress alerts us to possible danger and equips us to escape or manage it."
@jessnzwls What a chance it would have been.
Allyship, a huge platform to impact change.
But no, “If I offended anyone…. it was a joke”
All these jokes.
Urghhhh.
Going to assume that one of the worlds biggest sporting giants was using their platform to raise awareness about period poverty, the impact of menstruation on sport and the taboo of still (for those fortunate to access them) hiding sanitary items up sleeves.. #smacksofmisogyny
There’s still a stigma about talking about the impact of menstruation on sport, when the reality is that managing periods continue to be a barrier to participating. There’s no excuse to not address this. Even with just 30 seconds of research, I found 3 resources that can help..
Our new study in @LancetGH finds widespread vitamin & mineral deficiencies
This #HiddenHunger affects
• 1 in 2 children worldwide
• 2 in 3 women worldwide
• 9 in 10 women in many lower income countries
• 1 in 2 women in the UK
• 1 in 3 women in the US

Devastating post on TGG today about a GP who has died by suicide 😢
Consent from Gail’s husband for these screenshots to be shared. The pressure NHS GPs are under is immense. It needs urgent action.
What’s the plan @BMA_GP@rcgp@NHSEngland? 👀
Do you live in the Vale of Glamorgan or Cardiff East? Your GP will text you in the next few weeks about HIV testing and how to order a FREE & CONFIDENTIAL postal test kit to use in the comfort of your home. Anyone can order a kit here: https://t.co/ymuFBUvhMb

Today @itvlondon bids farewell to the superbly talented and beautiful soul that is @RiaChatter. I distinctly remember when you first started with us, and it’s been a joy to watch you rise, and shine. I’m very proud of you, and our loss is @Channel4News’ gain. You’ll smash it ❤️xx
We were awestruck by last night’s gutsy journalism. So much heart & innovation. @onewm supports journos telling underreported stories from the global south. Scroll their feed to see the journos quests.
One World, I admire your values so it was a real honour to host the ceremony.
We’d like to thank @PinkNews for inviting us along to their Cardiff Summer Reception at @AmgueddfaCymru
The message of the night was certainly that we must continue to hold those in power to account for their promises and their inactions.
