The Duffer Brothers say Will was originally planned to come out only to Joyce.
"Originally, it was just going to be Joyce in the original draft of the outline. And the scene was not hitting properly. We realized that Joyce is an important part of this, but he really needed to do it in front of everyone."
thats what i want to think at least, that he has been represing himself so hardly that hes just taken by surprise, and seeing will talk about it and BEING ACCEPTED its when mikes mask falls. lets remember last episode is 2 hours long. that, or byler is the biggest queerbait ever.

maybe im still too glued to the theories, the subtext and the way i see the story, but theres something in mikes face here... to me hes constipated with emotions.
will says he knows his "tammy" isnt like him, but he doesnt really. i feel like mike is just surprised, firstly he didnt thought will was gay, secondly, if mike IS gay/bi as well he wasnt aware that he could in fact do this, accept himself and tell others
not for jonathan??? at this point is waaaay easier to say you guys do not find jon attractive and thats why you guys like steve better and thats okay, but at least be honest about it lol
i feel like the writers actually regreted this choice for his character which is why now its not entirely available in netflix (he takes one picture when theyre about to get undress and leaves, but if im not wrong the scene was longer back in 2016) +
which is okay! really, but ngl i find highly hypocrite that people gets so upset with jon but not with steve?? Steve told to ALL hawkins that nancy was a "bitch"??? and yes he apologized for it- but didnt jon do the same? apologize? yet for steve its enough to redeem him, but not
