Early intervention is essential.
If we wait we simply will not have the human/personnel capacity to give kids the intervention they need and deserve.
So when we choose to not intervene early we are choosing to in all likelihood condemn kids to a lifetime of reading struggle.

What’s concerning is children are forced to attempt to produce high level writing processes starting in K(⁉️⁉️) without ever being explicitly taught the foundational low level writing processes. This is inequitable and discriminatory against those children that require it.
